Wednesday - last day of (paid) work for the year

It's late in the afternoon and the children are having ham and pineapple ("toddler supreme") pizza for dinner, just as they do every Wednesday when I'm getting ready to hand over to Ian and drive off to work. Everything went smoothly until I arrived at work, expecting two students, only... nobody showed up. Two fifteen year old boys, who've finished school for the year, likely to go for the last tutoring session? Hardly! So I stayed and chatted with the staff instead. Which was lovely.
