I was really ready to return home by Monday. Unfortunately Tassie was having a bad day and we were unable to enjoy our little trip to a cafe for morning tea, then the playground. She seemed to have one big long tantrum. Nothing we tried seem to work: milkshake, cuddles, affection and soothing words, attention at the playground, even ignoring her. It seems hard that we should accept this long drawn out phase until it passes. If it passes!
(With the benefit of hindsight, I think it may have been the fact I was away from home two weekends in a row).
