104 - Wednesday - Fave at home

My poor darling's been home sick this week but was feeling better when I snapped this photo of him.
Things went much better at "Little School" today. Tasmin still said she didn't want to 'stay home' but while I had to pick her up to go home, she was really fine from there on. Chatty and happy. Having Angus to myself yesterday was wonderful and we both really enjoyed each other's company. It's so fun watching him toddling around the room and playing with the library toys and reading books. He also likes lots of cuddles and so do I.

Day 103 - Tuesday - the joys of toy library

Today we had another trip to the toy library where I squashed more into the car than could really fit. Angus is always interested in what Tasmin is up to....

And he tells me (with his eyes) look! she's letting me play!
and there they are happily playing alongside each other

And furnishing the little house. Angus was especially interested in the baby, Tasmin the Mummy.
We also picked up a pretty scarf for Nan, which was given to her in the afternoon. Tasmin had listened carefully to me when I'd suggested she present Nan with the gift. She walked straight up and said "Happy Birthday Nan" and handed her the present!
Daddy and Tasmin giggled together after dinner making eskimo and butterfly kisses. She's been cheering him up, while he struggles with a nasty virus.

Day 102 - Monday - Angus

At least Angus can see again now after his first haircut but clearly we will need the help of a hairdresser to do his lovely curly hair justice! He has been really enjoying playing in the afternoons without interruption while his sister sleeps lately. Maybe I should keep it this way instead of waking him after his morning nap?

Day 101 - Sunday - Gandy visits

Actually forgot to take the photo today. I had planned to but then forgot. Another important reason to get to bed early from now on.

The highlights from the day were seeing Angus enjoying playing outside, including in the sandpit, which his Daddy filmed on video. The other highlight was having Gandy come for the afternoon to look at photos from her childhood for the heritage project I'm soon to start, then staying for roast chicken dinner.

Day 100 - Saturday - family fun

Today was so much better. Ian and I agreed last night that we need to spend more time one-on-one with the kids, and get down on the floor with them, at least once every day. It certainly worked a treat today. We also decided to let Angus sleep on and put Tassie down for her nap when he woke. Tassie plays very rough and poor Angus bears the brunt of this. Having them apart for a few hours was much calmer and more peaceful for all.

It was actually quite a relaxing Saturday. Unheard of, usually, with two little babies.
