day 125 - wednesday - day I'd rather forget

A little morning sun after lots of rain - before the next downpour. It was overcast and grey all week...
Tassie asked for green biscuits. She's very suggestible to anything they do on playschool. Then I remembered I had some squeezy icing sugar in a tube in blue and yellow, so we made green...

Manda came to babysit for me that night. Angie sat next to her comfortably with her arm around him until he spotted me with the camera...
Unfortunately it turned out she was feeling terrible and at seven month pregnant with back troubles, I felt terrible, especially after arriving home at nearly 10pm, instead of 9pm, thanks to the stress and troubles at work...
Ralph Walso Emerson understands days like these:
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

day 124 - tuesday - Mummy daycare

I decided to keep Tassie at home today as she isn't quite over her cold yet. Poor little Angie is quite unwell too this week. Tas quite happily played at crafts which I set up for her at the big table. This is better than her high chair which reallydoesn't have enough room to spread out. I snuck off to the study for a bit of scrapping myself.

day 123 - monday - Gandy helps out

Grandma was very amused watching Tassie give up on her fork and slurp away at the noodles. - The tradesman we've waited 6 weeks for, to remove some dead branches didn't bother showing up and Ian is away all week so it was great to have her here today for moral support with the babies.

day 122 - sunday - the new bed

It's actually the IKEA cot cleverly converted to a little bed. She rolled out the first night (on to a pillow!), so we fitted a little safety fence on the side. She keeps saying the other side is missing. Peace in the mornings, now, instead of the usual relentless screaming for Mummy or Daddy to get her out of her cot.

day 121 - saturday - belair national park

I actually remembered to pack the video camera today - a rare feat

I wanted to video Angus toddling around before he gets any bigger!

The slippery slide...

Time for a quick nappy change...

Going for a crawl in the bark chips, a favourite acitivity...

and tired out at the end...

We had to skip swimming today as the kids were sick with colds, so we made the most of the autumn sunshine and went to the national park. We saw an emu and a koala, but they were too far away for my lens to capture! Tassie had fun running in and out of the tunnels. She disappeared momentarily until her head popped up , where she'd decided to scale the steep rock face. She included herself in a game with some slightly older girls, but only when they'd left, did she run back to us down the slope again - truly fearless!
