I was surprised to find the sun shining brightly today. It hasn't been the sunniest summer. I loved the way the spider's web was all lit up by the sunlight. I wonder if she's called Charlotte?



Angie was happy reading this morning while Tasmin watched some TV on ABC Kids - sitting in her chair, unusual. She normally presses her nose up against the glass and ignores our instructions not to.



I love ladybugs. I found this one in the kitchen this morning. How did it get inside? I saw this as a sign that the universe was looking out for us today.

Tasmin and I have been fascinated by this Golden Orb Weaver spider the last few days. When the wind picked up this afternoon and the web was thrashed around, the spider grabbed stray leaves caught in the web and chucked them out. It eventually got tired of this and decided to leave them be. I am actually quite terrified of spiders yet find I can't look away!
