Sunday gardening
Tassie and I are very proud of our newest project - a little herb and vegetable garden. We bought a crinkly tin base, filled it with potting soil, and planted some tomato plants from Addisyn and Monique, and the herbs we had in various pots. Ian caught the gardening bug too, and pulled out a straggly old dead bush from the front yard, and also planted six agapanthus near the front door, underneath trees. We showed it all to Gandy when she visited in the afternoon, and she was impressed. Let's hope they grow!

Saturday - I'm a keeper
I got the chance to spend the whole morning playing with photos on the computer while Daddy took the kids out for a long walk. Trouble was, I almost missed the photo developer, who shuts at 1pm, because Daddy took my keys (he'd left his at work). But I made it in time and the last photo was stuck down for Project 365 today. There is still some journalling to add, which I copy and paste from my blog, so when it's finished I'll post some pics.
Before going down for her nap, Tassie said I love you Mummy. I think I'll keep you.

Friday
Tassie finally returned to Little Playschool today while Angie and I took a trip to Morphett Vale for an appointment. It was a very warm day and in the afternoon he had an early bath, then dinner before leaving to bring Tasmin home. The best part of his dinner was the cold yogurt - which he seemed to get pretty much all over himself. Was there ever a kid who loved yogurt as much as Angie? Hmmm, sounds like a title for a book...we have a word for this scenario at our place. It's VORT.

Thursday shopping two ways

This morning I took the plunge, taking the two children to the big shopping centre and waiting until 9.50am to leave - on purpose! This would have been unthinkable to leave so late, recently, but little man seems to be able to stay awake until after lunch now. So we bought cute new undies for Tas, some notebooks and scrapbook album refills for me, printer ink, chemist stuff and that was about it. Oh yes and I forgot, a banana milkshake and rainbow icecream. Up to 10 minutes guaranteed blissful - slurpy - silence. And how cool is this - we had our shopping delivered this afternoon for just a few dollars.Daily gratitude:
1. For being able to take the babies shopping and to enjoy it
2. To have the shopping delivered and be able to afford it
3. For seeing and appreciating and loving Tasmin with new eyes
4. For the weekly bible lesson and a fantastic CS practitioner
Wednesday at the park
We met up with Tassie's friend today at the park and spent a happy couple of hours playing. While her Mum and I chatted, Angie would occassionally run off on to the large oval so I would chase him back. Don't say I get no exercise! Here's the funny story: When a little girl and her grandma arrived at the park, Tassie ran over to the gate to meet them and introduce herself. She always does this regardless of how people respond. Later I gave Tasmin her apple and turned away briefly. When I turned back, she had neatly inserted herself between the little girl and her grandma, who had set up a picnic on a table and bench, and were also eating apples. Tasmin thought it perfectly natural.
