Day 94 - Sunday - one day, 13 artworks

View of North Adelaide!

this is one thing I've been wanting to try for ages - having a play in an art journal with paints and inks and bits of paper and ribbon and whatever I had on hand. Without the distractions, I could really concentrate for hours and being sick was soon forgotten as I got stuck in.

One driving factor behind this project was the overwhelming need to document my experiences last year. It's very therapeutic to record your feelings, especially the confusing and abstract ones, and seeing a page reflect a time in your life really validates that experience. I feel really refreshed and ready to pursue new projects. But I'm looking forward to adding to this project every week or so, possibly from Creative therapy.

So very very happy with what I achieved in just one day (click here to see all the pages).

Day 93 - Saturday - Easter retreat

After an early, crazy hectic frantic morning rushing about trying to get the housework done (I was behind from following the Melbourne trip last weekend) and getting weekly shopping done we made it at around 2pm ready to swap with Ian. Tas was fast asleep so the family drove home (only 20 minutes away!) while I checked out the little apartment with tall ceilings. The funny thing was, Ian had hidden some chocolate Easter bunnies around the room which I gradually discovered as I unpacked! Still had the cough and cold so rested and read that afternoon and evening.

Day 92 - Friday - deck picnic

This is what I call a natural shot - busy chomping on sandwiches!

Day 91 - thursday - second orientation

Tassie was thrilled to have a school bag to take and today joined the kids in an Easter egg hunt. She brought home two in a little Easter cone. She looks so cute. Looking forward to starting officially next week.

Day 90 - Wednesday - orientation visit to childcare centre

Happy to be home but no pics today. Tasmin's first orientation visit went very well. In two hours she played outside, came in for a cooked lunch, and settled down for a story and nap. 11.30 was a little early for her nap though so she didn't settle well but was not keen to come home with me. She loved it!
